We are happy to announce a new online Summer Reading Challenge through Beanstack with Challenges for all ages. Online registration for Beanstack begins June 1. Logging of reading and activities begins June 8.
To Get Started:
-Register for a Beanstack account by clicking here.
-Parents/guardians can create one Beanstack Family account and add all family members to the account as Readers.
-Sign up each family member for the appropriate Reading Challenge based on their age or grade.
-Download the Beanstack app from the App Store or Google Play Store to make logging super simple. -Want a paper log? Download and print one here.
Kids
Preschool – 6th grade (next school year)
-Goal: Read or listen 20 minutes a day, reading whatever you want including books you have at home.
-For each day of reading, log it on your Beanstack account
-Every 7 logged days will earn one raffle entry for our prize drawing at the end of the summer.
-Complete 35 days of reading: earn a free book
-Read 56 days: receive another book
-Complete 8 activities on the “Read.Learn.Create.Explore.” Badge-receive a prize from the Treasure Box
-End-of-the summer Drawing prizes include: two bikes donated by the Adrian Kiwanis group.
Early Literacy
Ages 0 – 3 (3 year olds may participate in this Challenge or the Kids’ one described above)
-Complete a set of activities with your child.
-Log them on Beanstack
-Visit the library to choose a free board book for your child.
-If you wish: log the days you read aloud on your Beanstack account and earn virtual Badges.
