Lenawee Reads In the Spirit of Poe

A Community Wide Celebration of the Short Stories and Poetry of Edgar Allan Poe
 Took Place During October of 2011. Lenawee Reads In the Spirit of Poe was our first county wide community read.  We will soon be planning our next community read.  Please contact Carol Souchock at 265-2265 to let us know what title you think we should read next. 



Over sixty ravens were decorated for a silent auction by artists, students, library staff and the general community. We have extended the bidding for those ravens that have not already been bid upon to November 19.  Proceeds of the silent auction will benefit our community read and the LCVA (Lenawee Council for the Visual Arts).  Stop in the library to place your bid and click here to view the decorated ravens.

Along with the decorated ravens plain black ravens were perched on the banners throughout the downtown by one of our sponsors Kirk Valentine from Sphere Consultanting.
