Summer Reading: Teen Read
The Summer Reading Challenge is designed to encourage a daily habit of reading.
Online pre-registration begins June 1. Logging of reading and activities begins June 5.
To Get Started:
--Register for a Beanstack account by clicking here.
--Parents/guardians can create one Beanstack Family account and add all family members to the account as Readers OR
Teen Readers can create their own Beanstack account.
--Already have a Beanstack account from previous Challenges? Simply log into your current account.
--Sign up each family member for the appropriate Reading Challenge based on their age or grade.
--Download the Beanstack app from the App Store or Google Play Store to make logging super simple.
--Want a paper log? Download and /documentcenter/view/1788/src-2023-reading-logprint one here.
--Don't have reliable internet access and/or a printer? Stop in the library to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge and to take home a paper log.
How it Works:
--Open to Grades 6 - 12. Incoming 6th graders may do this challenge or the Kids' Challenge.
--Read (or listen) every day. Try to read for at least 20 minutes.
--Read whatever you want: Fiction, Manga, Non-Fiction, etc.!
--Receive a free book and lanyard just for signing up!
--For each day of reading, log it on your Beanstack account or paper log.
--Every 7 logged days - earn a button to pin to your Lanyard and an entry into the end-of-summer prize drawing.
--Stamp Card Challenge - For each program you attend, receive a stamp. Attend eight or more programs to earn a Free Book.
No ADL card is necessary to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge!
